I have used countless shoes over the years, and all of them have some negative aspects. These are perfect. The BOA is in a spot that is highly unlikely to get smashed to pieces on a rock–which I’ve had happen with other brand shoes. I’ve heard employees at shops say, “Well, they have a lifetime warranty on the BOA, so it can be replaced.” Yeah, try doing that 10 miles in the backcountry.
